Hello everyone!
October, a.k.a. SpookyMonth, is nearly upon us. And for folks like myself that means one thing: watching horror movies.
To me, horror movies are perfect cinema. The format and structure are so well-defined, the beats so familiar, that even the most subtle deviations from this formula can make or break these films. Also, I just love getting the crap scared out of me.
I can go on and on, but for now Iāve compiled a list of horror movies that I think cut right through the genre; the scariest, the most innovative, the true genre benders, and of course all the classics. Iām planning on watching all of these in the next month, and on Halloween I will release my Definitive Scary Movie Power Ranking.
I thought I would share the list for those of you who are looking for some scary movie recommendations or would like to watch along.
And of course if I missed anything donāt be afraid to reply to this email, it will go to me directly.
